6 large thick skinned oranges
1/2 cup diced pineapple
1/2 cup chopped oranges
1 cup chopped apple
1/2 cup chopped nut meats
3 tbsp. Fruit Salad Dressing #2
Cut a slice from stem end of each orange, then remove pulp while being careful to not break orange shell. Cut each orange
shell like a Jack O'Lantern. Mix the oranges, pineapple, apple and nuts with the fruit salad dressing and fill the orange
shells with the mixture. Serve on a lettuce leaf.
Brain Surgery Salad
2 small pkgs or 1 large pkg lime gelatin
1 1 16 oz can fruit cocktail or 1 1/2 cups grated carrots
2 surgical gloves
Prepare the gelatin according to the package instructions. Transfer to a dome shaped mold. Drain the fruit cocktail
and add it, or the grated carrots, to the gelatin when it is half set. When the salad mold is ready, unmold it onto a platter,
and drape the surgical glvoes on each side. Makes 10 servings.
1 pkg. orange gelatin
1 c. applesauce, sweetened
1 bottle orange pop
Dissolve gelatin in hot cooked sweetened applesauce. Whip or
mash. Add orange pop. Mix and chill. Colorful treat for Halloween!
Molded Blood Salad
2 C. crushed cranberries
1/3 C. finely chopped orange zest
1 C. orange juice
1 C. finely chopped celery
1 C. chopped walnuts
1 3 oz. package cran-raspberry flavored gelatin
1 3 oz. package lemon flavored gelatin
3 C. water
Mix the gelatin and water according to the package instructions. Mix in the rest of the ingredients immediately. Chill
in a 2 quart mold.
